The Ancient Snake, baby

They are actually alien reptiles. Oh my.

They are actually alien reptiles. Oh my.

You may be aware of a persistent rumor that world leaders are actually alien reptiles, an idea widely promoted by David Icke. You can even find Youtube proof  (the most reliable kind of proof 🙂 in videos exposing world leaders: “Did you see it, their eyes changed!”

The Doors expressed the symbolic power of reptiles in the lyrics of their song, “The End”

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake…he’s old, and his skin is cold

The Temptation by Micahelangelo

The Temptation by Micahelangelo

Serpent and dragon stories exist in absolutely every culture, everywhere, from time out of mind. St. George slew one, the serpent in the Garden of Eden tricked Adam and Eve, and the serpent in the oldest epic ever written, The Epic of Gilgamesh, stole the plant that could have given mankind immortality. On the flip side, the Rainbow Serpent in Australian aboriginal stories created the landscape by thrashing around, dragons are highly regarded in China and Moses lifted a bronze serpent on a pole to stop a plague.

The serpent or dragon is an archetype, a persistent and powerful symbol. Symbol of what? Immortality, because a snake sheds its skin and renews itself, and symbol of chaos-the END, which is why he appears in the Doors song of the same name and why the Norse serpent Jormungand lives in the ocean surrounding the visible world, waiting to kill and be killed by Thor at the end of the age.

Are serpent-people real? Yes, they are real archetypes and anyone who thinks symbols and archetypes can be dismissed as nonsense, doesn’t understand human nature. To many people at this point in history, world leaders are equated with the ancient snake, baby; devious; he will kill you and feel no remorse. He’s old. And his skin is cold.

The archetype will never go away, but if I were a world leader, I’d be thinking about doing some major shaping up about now.

Archetype: The term “archetype” has its origins in ancient Greek. The root words are archein, which means “original or old”; and typos, which means “pattern, model or type”. The combined meaning is an “original pattern” of which all other similar persons, objects, or concepts are derived, copied, modeled, or emulated.
